John Sharp, the former Texas Comptroller who is now a Democratic candidate for the U. S. Senate, has endorsed Travis County Commissioner Margaret Gómez for re-election.

“Margaret Gómez has been a great steward of the taxpayers’ money,” Sharp said. “She knows that good financial management helps safeguard vital public services.”

“Margaret has more experience than any other county commissioner,” Sharp added. “Her record and lifelong dedication to southeast Travis County is unmatched. We need her to continue to be a strong Democratic voice on the Commissioners Court.”
